 Women's L.I.G.H.T. MinistriY

Lucy and Ethel, Lavern and Shirley, Rachel and Monica are a few of popular television friendship icons we may know. Many women desire to have relationships that these women portray or ones like Naomi and Ruth.

Most women have friends, but they do not have "real"ationships; other women with whom one can truly be "real" with and still feel accepted by them. The goal of the Women's L.I.G.H.T. ministry here at Faith Fellowship is to encourage women to become exactly who God created them to be through real-ationships and by living out L.I.G.H.T.!

L.I.G.H.T. stands for:
Living - 1 John 1:7 (ESV) But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
In - 1 John 4:16b-17 (ESV) So we have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love, and whoever abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. 17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so also are we in this world.
God's - Exodus 3:14-15 (ESV) God said to Moses, “I am who I am.” And he said, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘I am has sent me to you.’” 15 God also said to Moses, “Say this to the people of Israel, ‘The Lord, the God of your fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has sent me to you.’ This is my name forever, and thus I am to be remembered throughout all generations.
Hands - Isaiah 64:8 (ESV)But now, O Lord, you are our Father; we are the clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Together - Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (ESV)  Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. 10 For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! 11 Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? 12 And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

The greatest bond in a real-ationship is Jesus. Jesus desires to have a relationship with us and ultimately our goal is to be a reflection of him. As we share our lives with others, our relationship with Jesus grows deeper.

L.I.G.H.T. women have the opportunity to build "real"-ationships with each other through various Bible studies and quarterly events. As well as Life Group and other ministry and outreach opportunities.

We're always looking forward to hearing about your ideas for Bible study and women's interest for "real"-ationship building with God and each other.  Share your constructive feedback and ideas!

"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
